Any geeky mums out there?

Hi,

I am looking to meet mums around Manchester and Salford Quays. My baby girl is now 9 months (Dec 2013) and we do not get out much. I would love to meet mums with babies of a similar age (if possible but not required) or with similar interests. I love reading, watching Sci-Fi, playing computer games, laughing with my little one, going for walks, shopping, drinking coffee, watching films and TV series (Game of Thrones, Stargate, True Blood...), cooking and creating to-do lists that never get done!!

Please contact me at any point, even if this message is years old!! I do not know many people in Manchester and I would love to have some friends!

I'm also looking to meet up with mums in Manchester (I live in Chorlton). I have been very anti social and not really made much effort to join groups with SureStart (because my daughter and I are too lazy and enjoy watching Columbo too much to actually leave the house sometimes..) but would love to meet up with other mums.
Most of my friends with babies are either at home in Ireland (where I'm from originally) or live down the road in Warrington and Liverpool. Would be nice to know some mums in Manchester!

HI as fierynortherner mentioned we have a meet up today at 11.30 at Sale Water Park Cafe Ark if you'd like to come along. Check out the meet up page. If too short notice for you then keep an eye out for more here and there is an event in Chorlton on Tuesday 30th Oct 10-2 at Post Box cafe. Introduce yourself to us we will be either getting squashed near bouncy castle or handing out fliers/selling cakes....
