Are you a mum of a baby aged 3-9 months?
I am conducting research to better understand the behaviours, thoughts, and brain activity associated with being a mother of a baby. The aim of our study is to investigate whether there is a relationship between mood and how a mother’s brain responds to different emotional material. The findings will further our understanding of the brain in parenthood.
I would like to speak to mothers with a range of experiences, including those who have felt low during pregnancy and/or after giving birth.
Participation will involve attending Exeter University's St Lukes campus for a one-off 1.5 hour visit where you will be asked to
- complete some basic tasks whilst lying comfortably in an MRI scanner
- complete some brief questionnaires
- talk about your relationship with your baby for 5 mins
