Welcome!
This group is for keen gardeners and allotment holders in Oxfordshire. Initially just to discuss our successes/failures/challenges, especially considering the lovely clay-sodden soil of the Thames valley.

In the future we would hopefully be able to organise meet-ups, seed swaps, skill-swaps etc.

Moving at last to a garden with plenty of space - it's a mature garden with lots of hedges and shrubs on clay - so it's going to be a big job getting set up with a veg plot and greenhouse in time for spring!

We're starting from scratch so have to decide on where to put the beds, what to grow, how to cultivate and harvest...exciting!

That does sound exciting Ninja. We're in a similar situation as we've just taken possession of a decent sized allotment plot, some weeds Otherwise it's a blank slate and we're itching to get started now
