Hi I have just read all the other threads. We are considering moving as can not afford closer to Edinburgh centre. My children are 11 and 13. Is South Queensferry High any good? Most recommendations have been for nursery and primary. Also if travel in to town isn't great are there reasonable job opportunities for part time work nearby? If we do this it will be a huge move and don't want to mess it up for the girls sake :) any help gratefully received. Thank you

I have a few friends with children at Queensferry High who are very happy. Also they use the train from Dalmeny which isn't really in Dalmeny to get into the city centre quicker.

There is a huge Tesco which is bound to offer part time work. Also Dakota Hotel/ Brewers Fayre pub/ Frankie and Bennys for hospitality jobs.

Not sure how the High School is but would definitely reccomend a move to South Queensferry! I have a 2 y/o she's at a fab local childminder, I work full time in Edinburgh and have no problems witht he commute from Dalmeny, its only about 13 minutes!
