Try again in the right place

Just had a planning app for 800 social houses to be built on the land next to where I live.

I love my home etc the build quality is great etc. I cant bear more building, I have another science park being built over the road to me and its noisy every day, with sweary builders etc.

So I dont think ill be in Worcester for much longer, is wanting a quiet life with no social housing on your door step to much to ask. When we looked it seemed leafy and green, and it wont be now.

just a rant boo hoo.

Oh nooo. Sad

mrsbucketxox · 02/09/2013 18:37

Just been looking over the plans is all semi's of terrace with a school shops, skate park. 80 -90 acres.

Id really really peeved if I bought the bigger homes by us at 500k plus with all that on their door step instead if views of rolling fields.

Will it affect selling your house? Is it just at the planning app stage at the moment?

mrsbucketxox · 03/09/2013 08:12

Just at planning stage, it not gone through yet.

Out house is in the lucky position that it wont face the development and has at least two rows of houses between us and it. And its in a quiet cul de sac.

Hopefully there will be at least some time between the planning and building stage.

I saw something about that in the paper, but I didn't realise it was so much social housing. Although I live on a social housing estate and it's lovely - no different to 'normal' housing, but it's in a village and only 20 houses not 800. And even with 20 houses you do get the occasional Hmm moment!

Ive calmed down a lot since posting this my house isnt directly facing it so its not all bad.

Where was the article I have been told about it but can't find it anywhere, it was whike I was away :(

Im meeting the councillor about the plans tmr. I will need to make sure everything is spotless as he is coming to my home.

The school apparently will have access from earls park, so masses of parked cars daily for the school.

I hope the plans are changed so there is no access from here to there.

Be good to ask them some questions.

mrsbucketxox · 07/10/2013 18:42
