Moving to Haslemere

Hi there everyone. We are moving to Haslemere shortly (I hope). I have an 8 month old son and it would be great to meet some mums and some new friends for Charlie. It would also be nice to know someone who would be up for the occasional glass of wine and a natter too as we don't know anyone at all in the area.

We are hoping to move to Meadow Vale.

Thanks!!

Hi, I've lived in Haslemere forever - almost! It's a lovely town. My kids are older - the youngest is 10, but would be happy to meet up and show you the delights of Haslemere, and point you in the right direction for schools, doctors, etc. Oh and wine bars of course!

Hello both, HaslemereBornAndBred I don't suppose you'd consider a larger gathering as part of a meet-up would you?

Thanks HaslemereBornandBred I would love to take you up on that. It's quite daunting moving to a grand new area. So excited about it but nervous too as I'm leaving my friend network from NCT classes.

Hello ladies, we are also moving to Haslemere in a few weeks time, very excited but scared too to start a new life outside London! We have 2 little ones, DS is 3 and DD has just turned one. It would be lovely to meet up with other mummies in the area for play dates and an occasional glass of wine as Charlo77eT suggested! X

Mummyabc · 30/11/2013 16:50

Hello ByeByeLondon!

Have you moved to Haslemere yet? If so, hope all went well (or good luck if move is inpending!) I've been here for just over a year now and it's such a lovely place to be with small children. I've got a ds who is 2.5 and expecting my second in April.

If you fancy meeting up some time in the new year for a coffee/playdate, then let me know! My email address is [email protected] likely to check my emails than Mumsnet!

Take care,
Laura x

Sorry I was supposed to send that message privately, but don't know how to delete it now! X

Hi ladies,
Hope you are all well. I moved to Haslemere in September and really enjoying it but looking to meet other mums for play dates with kids or glasses of wine without kids! I am working 4 days a week and have wednesdays off.
I have a just turned 2 little girl who would love some friends her own age too!
Have you all met up or arranged a date? Any chance I could crash it if so?
Thanks for reading

Mummyabc · 08/02/2014 21:59

Hello vradders we still have not exchanged yet.. But hope to in the next few weeks! When we do and have a move date it would be lovely to meet up. Will be in touch soon hopefully!

VRadders · 12/02/2014 18:19

Good luck with the exchange - moving house/buying house is a very painful/stressful process! Hopefully all goes well and looking forward to hopefully meeting up over a glass of wine/coffee soon!

Hello All
I moved to Haslemere a year ago & am really enjoying my time here but would love to make some more friends, I am quite shy so it can take me a while to make friends although all the mums & few dads I have met at baby group are all very friendly.
Have you managed to meet up yet would I be able to join you at the next one, I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter & a baby boy whose 6 months.
