New SEN school for Autism and Asperger's

Hello there

My name is Becca and I represent a new school coming to the Oxfordshire area called LVS Oxford. We are due to open in September 2014 at the former Begbroke Priory in Begbroke, near Kidlington. We are an SEN school specifically catering to young people aged 11-19 with higher-functioning autism and Asperger's.

We also run and operate LVS Hassocks near Brighton which has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted two years in a row. We hope to replicate the success of Hassocks at LVS Oxford. The new campus will provide both residential and day places (dependent on distance from the school).

We are hosting three open days at the school next month: Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Saturday 28th September, and we'd like to invite Mumsnet readers down to the school to find out more and speak to our staff. If you would like to come we will be open from 10am - 3pm each day and you can find out more here on our website: www.lvs-oxford.org.uk/

Please do feel free to ask any questions on this thread; as a charity-run school we are obviously mindful of budgets and with such a large community on Mumsnet we thought this the ideal place to spread the word.

Thanks

Becca

Hi Becca,

May I recommend creating listings for these events or, if you want to promote them still further, email [email protected] for information about the low-cost advertising we offer.

Correction. LVS Hassocks was rated outstanding for its residential provision but do see recent OFSTED reports for the school - adequate with improvements recommended to teaching
