Does anybody have a DC who is learning the pipes?

DS1 is almost 8yo and is really keen to learn the pipes. I am just looking for recommendations of teachers or bands for him.

The neighbours will love it LOL

Our school does a pipe band. But most children go to the craigmount one as well as playing in the school one.

I have friends with kids in Davidson's Mains pipeband. They enjoy it and are very motivated. I don't know if the children have to have started learning before they join the band.
