Totes Rare Breeds Farm

I have three boys aged 1, 3, and 6, and was considering giving in to their pleas for a steam train ride tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me what the Totnes Rare Breeds farm is like? Is it worth buying an enhanced ticket and having a picnic there?

Thanks!

...or is the Paignton to Dartmouth steam train better? There are paddleboat rides and castles on offer there, but the various ticket options are all so darned complicated!

What did you do on the end, Mrswilcox? DD1 is 2 1/2 & loves trains.

I know it's rather late to reply to this message but...
Totnes Rare Breeds is really really nice for children - not too big, not too small, not too expensive. It's not a whole day out like Paignton Zoo, but it will easily fill a whole afternoon/morning. It's right next to the Totnes railway station so you can have a car-free day. My kids (6 & 9) really liked it.
