Shoe shop recommendation.

Parklife Kids in Winchester are fab, just a world away from the horror that is Clarks at this time of year. Got DD shoes for school today, no queuing, great service, good choice, they had start rite, Hush Puppies and a couple of other brands. Fractionally more expensive than Clarks, but they have a good loyalty scheme where you buy 5 shoes get the sixth half price.

Whereabouts is it? We are heading to Winchester for school shoes tomorrow but normally go to Russell and Bromley (where we normally get excellent service, excellent shoes etc).

Just behind the Brooks Centre, opposite their ramped entrance. Close to McDonalds, next to a dry cleaners...

Thanks, should be able to find it quite easily then. The DCs always make a beeline for the Brooks centre because of The Entertainer .

Found it, as you said, very helpful, we were in there nearly an hour for two sets of school shoes, no waiting (well, only a moment) and the Lego Duplo table kept each child occupied while the other was being fitted too. I will mention it to my friends.

Cool, I found it on recommendation and have never had a bad experience.

I wouldn't have found it otherwise, even though we do go in the Brooks centre, which is starting to feel like a ghost town, it is quite tucked away and not very obvious IYSWIM. We were stood on the other side of the road peering at it to make sure it was the right place.

Completely agree they are fab!
