Moving to Broadstone - help!

Hi, I left a message earlier on an old thread but no replies as yet...
We are moving down in a few weeks and were wondering about the area at the lower end of York road near Hillbourne road and the Waterloo estate. Basically a builder's comments have given us doubts about our possible purchase ("I wouldn't buy down there" he said!) and we wondering is it really that bad near the estate? It seems like a decent house in a nice quiet close. We're in a real muddle now!
Thanks for any help!

Hi Catwoman,

I just wanted to give this a bump for you and some hope.

I live on the edge of a council estate in another part of Dorset. So many people say "I wouldn't live there" or "I wouldn't send my children to school there" but actually bar the odd problem (which you can get in any neighbourhood) it is a nice place to live and go to school.

What are the OFSTED reports like for local schools?
