New to Hackney-wanting to make new friends!

Hi my little family and I moved to Upper Clapton from the Isle of Wight the end of Feb this year. Apart from a few people I've met at work (I work in a nursery) I still don't really have any friends here yet ! I am quite lucky to have my SIL nearby who is lovely, but keen to meet other mummies for , power pramming, play dates etc. We have a 9 month old DD named Ava who loves being around other children and adults! Wish I knew about this site sooner, have been beginning to feel quite isolated! Would love to meet all of you and feel more at home as it looks like we're here to stay! Hi Jessica! I've just moved into Victoria Park Village, Hackney. We are from Australia and only here for 7 weeks but i have a 8.5 month old, Elizabeth. My partner will be working a lot while we are here all sorts of funny hours and Lizzie and I are Looking for some friends to go to the park with or get a coffee etc. I have other friends in London but none have kids. Hi! I was wondering if you are meeting up for coffees/park walks etc... I have a 18 month and a 2 month and live in Homerton, am hoping to make some friends as everyone I know has gone back to work and I'm feeling a bit isolated and alone!
Also if you know of any good classes that would be great!

Hi Daisy. Have you checked the local children's centres? The learning trust have a dedicated page on their website and the timetables for all their classes and activities.

I used to go to baby massage with DS at Millfields CC which was a nice class. We're hoping to go to baby sign in the new year. They also run with a baby yoga class but it clashes with our baby sensory class that we go to in Walthamstow - which by the way are the best classes that we go to!
