New Mum in Edinburgh

Hi Ya

I have a 6 week old baby girl and currently on Maternity leave, i have been trying to find groups or meet ups in my local area but there isnt anything on especially now that its the summer holiday :( I live in the Sighthill/Wester Hailes area and have visited Gate 55 which i was advised to do by my health Visitor but the only groups they have is for 16 - 25 year olds. I don't really know anyone else in the are with baby's and all my friends have had there kids and they are all now grown up.

I am board already and day time telly is driving me insane so if there is anyone out there that would like to meet up for a coffee and chat or a wee walk etc give me a shout

If you are on facebook look up Little Steps, I think they now run in Wester Hailes Library, and Broomhall Scout Hall. They started as a little group and have become very successful. Sighthill Health centre used to do Baby Massage Classes. There is also Rhymetime or Bookbugs they may be at the libraries. If you look up the council website they will have their times on there.

The Rhymetime group at Wester Hailes library is great, not sure who does it now, but my two loved it, they are 4 and 6 now
