We are relocating from Scotland with 4 yr old starting in reception. We have seen rental house in goldington green area with nearest school being goldington green, putnoe and St. John rigby. Please please help me decide my preference for school given my son very very Scottish accent, first time in school. I am looking for help from other mums as I am nervous and no time to visit the school and haven't even seen the house- due to short notice😁😳 this is so unbelievable nerve wrecking. So please help. I appreciate your time reading this and any opinion is welcome.😊

St John rigby is catholic so am not sure how you would fit into their entrance criteria. Putnoe and goldington both have a mix of intake in terms of the areas they are in. Goldington is an old Victorian school with not a lot of space, putnoe has space and is a newer building with better facilities. Putnoe is also a primary school compared to goldington which is a lower school and would then need a middle school transfer later on. You really do get a feel for the school by visiting. We went for a school we would have otherwise not chosen.
