Advise on areas in Kent please ?

We are currently looking to move to either Ashford (Singleton Hill ) or Maidstone Sutton Road please can anyone tell me what these areas are like as I have two child aged 7 and 3? And if these are areas to avoided?

This location is very close to the popular Loose conservation area, some good schools and about a 7 minute drive to Maidstone town centre. The properties are predominately semi detached family homes with a mixture of a few bungalows and walking distance to locals shops, bank and KFC. Prices are reasonable with semi searches house approx £180-£200k.
