I am devastated at the potential closure of Riverbank ward. My 3 old son was due to have an operation on the 1st August, after years of planning. I have phoned the hospital this morning and have spoken with the ward sister who explained that the ward shall continue as normal for the next 2 weeks thereafter she could not provide me with any more information. The hospital manager is due to call me but this will not be until Monday!!! I have also left a message with the Bedford and Kempston MP Richard Fuller, but of course had to leave a voice mail message!!!!
I am horrified by this decision and I am calling upon all bedford parents NOW to get involved and take a stand. Please show your support, rally round, lets demonstrate at Richard Fullers office. WE MUST ACT NOW
