Where to rendezvous in Oxford?

A small group of friends is meeting up in the city in a couple of weeks. Most are arriving by train, so it would be convenient to meet in a coffee shop close to the station. Any suggestions, please? (Bonus points for an establishment that allows smoking at outside tables!)

There's a coffee shop at the station, or the Oxford Castle complex is under 10mins walk away. There are several cafes and restaurants there, with outdoor seating areas.

If I am not too late... I would really recommend the Jam Factory. Good food, teas and coffees and an outside area too for smokers.
It is really nice there.
