Just to warn anyone visiting the Botanical Gardens - they've recently employed a parking fine company, "Civil Enforcement Ltd" who are known as a rogue company who never answer appeals. We got sent a £150 fine just for parking there.
The system they have set up is that visitors register their car with reception and these number plates are supposed to get taken off the list of parking fine recipients. It is clearly not foolproof.
I have asked the Botanical Gardens manager and she has confirmed that I have not done anything wrong, but she refused to get involved or write a letter of support. She did not seem to think they were accountable at all. They apparently can't even check their own list of number plates as it goes straight to this company.
I know we're not the only victims and would be interested to hear from any others!
