Hi, I'm your friendly neighbourhood Local Editor. Welcome to Mumsnet Local. We are currently in the process of merging the Monmouthshire site with the Newport Site so we can cover all areas, but all listings will be retained and nothing will be deleted.

In the meantime, get stuck in: List your business, or a local event, get involved on the Talk Boards (like wot I am doing now), check out the classifieds, list a bundle of clothes/baby equipment you don't need, or even find a fellow exhausted, sleep deprived Mum to drink strong coffee with on our MeetUps or Friendship Bench boards.

Don't be afraid of losing your Mumsnet anonymity, all poster son the main site have a different name on the local boards, so feel free to vent about your Mother In Law without getting busted.

We're working on it catbrooker! We're looking to arrange some meet ups in future, and making this into a one stop hub for Mumsnetters in the area. There is so much to do in Monmouthshire! It's made me fall in love with the area all over again.

In the meantime, don't forget Abergavenny's carnival on July 13th. I'd love to see more reviews on the site, and don't forget you can add listings yourself too.
