Which independent school?

Hi

I'm looking around at local independent schools regarding GCSE and 6th form options. Has anybody got any details on the new Claremont set-up? From what I can ascertain, GCSE's will be taken for the first time in June 2014, then A Levels start in September 2014? Does anybody know what examining boards they are using for subjects? And if there will be subjects other than the academic-based areas on offer? For example PE, dance, drama or the arts based subjects?

Also, does anybody know if they opt for extra-curricular provision such as Duke of Edinburgh or international trips etc? Or is it more focussed on the academics?

Any help would be great, I am not very local, though looking into moving in the next few months.

Many thanks

My dd goes there and we love it. Yes, GCSE's next year, then 6th form starts in 2014. Fab new building going up now! PE, drama and art are all on offer. They do offer D of E and year 9 went to Paris. It is definitely worth a look.
Hope this helps!
