The Discover Northern Ireland website is handy for comparing ideas and prices.

Best thing about a 9 month old is that he's still young enough to tag along with whatever you want to do, and should (hopefully) sleep in the car or pram.

The Ards Peninsula has some lovely caravan sites, but not sure if they are for people to rent or if people own them.

No ideas about chalets, sorry!

Do you live in NI, or are you visiting from elsewhere?

I took my wee man to Ballycastle, lil bit older than yours (18mnths I think) but with a group of other LP and it was great :)

Lots of gorgeous places in Leitrim and Mayo too that we enjoyed. Mine is well up now at 14 but happy to meet you for a coffee myself if you are in Down/Belfast area as I am from the former and live in the latter so easy to jump in the car :)
