Help: nanny advice, thanks.

Was hoping some of you might have advice/experience of recruiting a nanny in Edinburgh. Would be keen to know recommended agencies/sites. Also any things to avoid. We are brand new to using a nanny so any general tips also greatly appreciated!

We found our nanny on gumtree, I registered with a couple of agencies (butterflies and tinies) but didnt get many cv's from them, I had a really good response on gumtree, met 5 or 6 of the best sounding ones and chose from that shortlist. You can check references etc but when it comes down to it you just have to go with your gut feeling.... it was nerve wracking but has worked out really well for us!!

Just to say, for anyone looking, we found a lovely nanny and would highly recommend Pandas agency.
