It?s National Volunteer week, have you ever thought about volunteering?
The Maypole Project is a local charity offering professional, holistic, and ongoing emotional support and counselling to children who have complex medical needs and their whole families across South East London and into Kent.
The families we support will have a child or children who have been diagnosed with an illness which may threaten their life, such as cancer, which will shorten their life, such as Cystic Fibrosis, or which means that they are constantly receiving treatments or having to be hospitalised for their disabilities or illnesses.
As The Maypole Project enters its 10th Year we have only been able to grow due to our fantastic team of volunteers. We are always looking for more of these amazing, inspiring people, do you want to be part of The Maypole Project Volunteer Team?
The opportunities are endless, whether you want to work front of house in our shop in Orpington or at our respite days, arts & crafts groups or organising your own event (cake sale, bingo or race night etc) or even out and about cheering at one of our events; London Marathon, Royal Parks or Santa Run.
