Cathedral Primary - anyone else with a place?

Just that really. DS has a place but the funding agreement is taking longer than anticipated to be signed. His other place at our local primary (which we were advised to keep in case something goes wrong) is there and they are about to begin the transition process - home and school visits and a parent's evening this week. Cathedral have advised that they have everything ready for when the ball gets rolling, but I can feel myself getting more and more anxious!

my advice is hang on!! my DDs both go to the senior school the Head is absolutely fantastic when he starts something he will finish it. you@ll be the envy of Bristol soon

Thank you for responding! Have heard from lots of colleagues/friends with older children who only have praise for it. Have seen an announcement about their new head today so things are clearly in motion.

I don't suppose either of your DDs are a sixth former who would love to accompany a 5 year old to school are they ? No idea how we are going to get him there and both get to work, but hoping a solution presents itself..!

Hi, I'm rather late on this thread! We have a place at the Bristol Cathedral Primary too. I'm looking forward to the Parents Evening and rather hoping it will make the decision of which school a lot easier. We live in Westbury on Trym - where do you live?

Oh my goodness - we're Westbury on Trym too (well, our address is, we're actually off WHW). Also looking forward to Tuesday, it makes things seem a little more real now. DS also has a pre-school visit on Monday which is reassuring too. Have you been to anything at your local school?

We've recently been offered a place at cathedral primary having been placed on the waiting list. Could you please give me some information on the parents evening and your thoughts as a whole? Did you finally decide to take the place?

I'm thrilled that we've been given this opportunity as my little girl is very musical and will thrive in a setting that supports her interests. I guess I'm just a little worried to give up a perfectly good school place that many would give a right arm for! Decisions decisions: the joys of patenting!
