Found out two weeks ago that I am pregnant with DC3 (not just 'pregnant but a whole 6 months pregnant- another story- anyway!)

Will be returning to work once baby is 6 months old- now spending my hours seeking out appropriate childcare.
Last time I had a nursery place (for DS2 - 7 years ago) it was £25 per day. Im assuming that prices are nowhere near that now! looking for a nursery anywhere between Four Oaks (home) and Erdington (work)

grateful for any recommendations and ideas of costs also - have got a price of another mnetter who works in a nursery just outside four oaks- thats £45 a day- any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Have a look at Trinity Play Centre - it's on Duke Street off Birmingham Road.

I was going to say the same as BillyBollyBrum! My 2 dc went there, admittedly it was around 4 years ago but I was always really happy with the care. I liked that most of the women were older and they seemed to really care about the children. Congratulations by the way must be a huge shock!

Hi only me again, just checked out Trinitys fees and its £38 per day from 7.45am - 6pm so pretty reasonable. The building isn't the most modern that I viewed but it was the homeliness that I loved about it. It would suit your commute too from FO to Erdington. Definitely worth a look!

What I loved about it was the caring atmosphere, the kids get so many cuddles! I felt it was like a lovely extended playgroup for the little ones.

Congratulations, (understandably) tiredEmma (although, eek, three months is a short time to get your head around the imminent arrival of DC3!)

Hope you find a good nursery, Local Ed.

Not sure if you've sorted your nursery now but just wanted to add that I also use Trinity Playcentre. My youngest (now 22 months) has been there since 7 months, eldest was there until Sep when she started school. My nieces also went there. Highly recommended. As others above said, very homely, family feel. Great with the children, make time to talk to you, good progress made by the children and also do a Hallowe'en party, Christmas activities, and Summer fair. Reasonably priced and flexible hours.
