Wondering what everyone else is up to?

My two went to Finkley today, I was wondering if Milestones might be worth a visit - we've never been, wonder if they are too young (5 and 2).

(namechanger for local site)

We like Milestones on the basis you can't get wet or cold so can leave all the coats in the car. TBH mine tend to flit from one thing to another but it's a pretty decent way to spend a couple of hours. Me and DS have an annual pass (and DD is still free) so there isn't the hassle of making the most of a whole day up there.

I think there is the wildlife photography exhibition at the Willis museum for the next month or so.

And it's the Kite Festival this weekend.

Although I'm turning my back on Amazingstoke and taking the little beasts to the Natural History museum. local traitor

LOVE the name change gutted I didn't think of it first

May check out milestones on Thurs.

Natural History is the bomb. If it gets too hectic though V&A is always empty and normally does kids activities in the hols. We made crowns there over Jubilee weekend.

My ds loves milestones. This week we have been on the trains at lakeside, swimming, library, pottery place to paint mugs for Father's Day. And the hythe ferry.

Ds would go to milestones everyday if we let him decide.

Hope you all had a good half term.

We didn't make it to milestones in the end, yesterday we went to the lovely hill near Kingsclere, what is it called? Anyway ther was just enough wind to do some kite flying which was lovely. Today we went to a plant fair at the John Lewis garden centre, was nice, there was a brass band and he children did dancing and we bought some things for the allotment, then chilled out with some mates, lovely.

Not for me. I struggle with getting ds to do his spellings. I mustn't complain though as I work 3 days a week. So not all bad.

Didn't see this thread until tonight, thought I'd drop in and "meet" some people nearby, I'm in Alton. We like Milestones (my DCs are 7 and 9, first went about 2 years ago), they also like just about everything at the Leisure Park.

I know it's not open for a few more weeks yet, but they LOVE Manydown Farm, just outside Basingstoke, we went at Easter and a couple of times last summer and had a brilliant afternoon each time.

wonderstuff · 02/06/2013 22:09

I haven't been to Manydown, I live in Overton, so I could pretty much walk there as well, I have heard good things. I was going to go to there Halloween thing last year, but they didn't do it so we went to Finkley! Don't have a Finkley season ticket this year, am determined to do Manydown.

Not heard of that one? We go to manor farm. Or Staunton country park as we have the pass to go.

wonderstuff · 04/06/2013 20:22

Where is manor farm?

Near burseldon sorry spelling isn't right I don't think. M27 junction 8. If you have one of the culture passes you can use it there. It is the farm they used in the living farm programme.

Also has a farm house and school room. I think it is a good place to go. Worth looking up

wonderstuff · 06/06/2013 20:14

Sounds good, I'm near Basingstoke, but have a good mate near Christchurch, might be a good meeting place, thank you.
