Hello bumble! I've just had a little boy, DC2 for me!

Have you tried the NCT groups bumps and babes running in Timsbury Monday afternoons in the Connies or Alternate Monday mornings at Farringtons Cafe. Or the bumps, babes and tots group in Radstock at the Children's Centre every Wednesday morning. They are run by the NCT but you don't have to be a member to attend. We have a few mums due in June/July coming along to these groups, it's a great way to meet others.

I attend the Wednesday group with my two mischief makers. A cuppa, biscuit and a chat always makes a bad week feel a bit more reasonable! :)

Hi thanks for all the info, sorry didnt reply sooner but for some reason when ever I check this post it says no replies so its the first time Ive seen this :-) I did see something about the NCT one in Timsbury at Connie's, been there just for coffee so could have been a notice but I just assumed you had to be a member of the NCT which im not. Good to know you ont have to be. Im also on the meet up group so have posted asking to you about groups on there just thismorning as had not seen this so so please ignore it :-) Hope things are going well with the newest addition? We are also having a little boy :-)

he is a dream... at the moment. The 2 year old is a little more hardwork, she is potty training at the moment and also finding her independence and causing mischief. I had forgotten about night feeds though, they are harder than I remembered and with a non-napping 2 year old means I flag about mid afternoon and need to have a 20 minute loaf on the sofa.

There are some groups meeting in Paulton, there is a post natal one at the children's centre, it runs on Wednesdays, but can't remember the times. It runs at the same time as the HV drop in clinics. I am sure they will tell you about them when they pop in to see you and will give you the leaflet with all the children's centre sessions.

I hope it all goes well for you, and if you need a friendly ear pop me a PM and we will meet up. It's a shame you can't come Friday, but I am sure we will meet again in the summer holidays.

Oh thats good they still run a postnatal, ive seen the ads for the drop in but assumed that was for any age. For some reason I wont even know who my hv is until baby is over 11 days. They used to like to visit you beforehand but have no idea who mine will even be this time. Have 3.5 wks left so n

Its going to be such a change for me so really not looking forward to the night feeds either its been a while since ive had do anything like that, even the nappy changes but looking forward to having a new little person in our family. It would be lovely to meet up and get to know another mummy from the village with a newbie :-) If your free in the next 3 wks before the mayhem starts it would be lovely to meet up :)

Would love to go to some meet ups and get to know some other mums

OoooShiney · 22/10/2013 10:44

Hi Mealz,

I am hoping to organise some local meets soon. Just been lax lately with new baby and full on nearly three year old.

Quite a few of us meet at Bumps and Babes at the Children's Centre in Radstock, it's run by NCT volunteers. You don't need to be a member to come along. It's a relaxed group of parents with babies an toddlers, we meet every Wednesday 10 to 11.45, pop along at any time :)

bumble777 · 24/10/2013 04:26

Oops keep forgetting to check on here. Yes the radstock nct group is a lovely group. Theres also a smaller meet up at connies tea room on a Monday afternoon at 1.30pm (runs termtime). Also have you looked at doing classes like baby sensory or baby massage. Thats a great way to meet mum and do something nice with baby. Sally Teal does the massage, she's on Facebook and Jennie does the baby sensory in midsomer Norton on a Tuesday at 11am in the Salvation Army hall. :-)
