Re-locating - Lincoln v Boston??

Hi I'm thinking of re-locating to Lincolnshire and looking at villages either around Lincoln or around Boston? Would ideally like to be in a large village/small town if possible but not actually in Boston or Lincoln themselves. Would also be looking for good secondary mixed school.
Have visited Wyburton/Spilsby areas for Boston and also Cherry Willingham/Ruskington areas for Lincoln but would love some inside help if poss as stuck between these 2 areas. Many thanks

Have you tried looking at villages around Sleaford? Ruskington is nice, on a train line to Lincoln/Sleaford but enough village shops to do for daily stuff.

Boston is a bit isolated IMHO if you're not used to it whereas down our way the road links are good for getting to most major networks.

Spilsby way is really pretty as your near the wolds and it has a supermarket and secondary school which my niece goes to and it's a very good school.
