Swimming Lessons

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone had any information about where I could take my 2 year old for swimming lessons on the weekend?
I work during the week and most places around me seem to only offer week day lessons
I live in the Crouch End area

Thanks in advance for any information

Xxx

Hi Lessia

You should have a browse around the site. All the pools are listed in Things to Do - Sports Venues. Might be worth checking these.

There is also a weekend baby class here:

You might also want to check the Islington site, they also have weekend classes listed this is one:

Happy swimming

There's Park Road Pool in Crouch End but it's oversubscribed and hard to get into lessons (in my experience). Archway Pool is a really good alternative. They take 2 year olds and do classes on Saturdays (and Sundays I think). Children start in group 1 (non-swimmers) and progress. The good thing about this pool is that it's a 'beach' design so kids feel comfortable because they can walk in and can always touch the bottom until they reach a higher level class where they get taken to the deep end. My youngest was terrified of getting water in her eyes when she started but now puts her head under for 20 seconds, no problem. This has made hair washing at home much more pleasant too Grin
