Hello everyone. I'll put a thread up on Mumsnet Devon a bit later, but here are a few ideas from our fair city:
On Saturday, there's Handmade Arcade outside The Real McCoy. Children might tolerate all the shopping if you let them watch the silent cinema over a hot chocolate in The Real McCoy Cafe Bar.
Have you been to St Nicholas Priory yet? Very family-friendly, with lots to explore, costumes to try on and a pretend Tudor feast to sit down to!
The Gruffalo's Child is showing at the Northcott this Sunday & Monday, but selling quickly, so they opened up an extra show at 5.30pm on Sunday - good few rows still available for that performance, and a few to be found for other showings, too. If you haven't been to the University for a while, you must visit the new Forum Piazza next door while you're there, it's got the "wow" factor!
The Quay is always a good bet for a day out. Check out Clip n Climb (but be aware you need to book a slot in advance & can't just turn up.) Have a look at the friendly Quay House Visitor Centre and maybe take a walk (or hire a bike from Saddles & Paddles) down to The Double Locks where it's "Burger Monday" on... well, Monday
We are also desperate for Mumsnetters to start reviewing Exeter's attractions andcafes so if you fancy treating yourself to some cake and a day out, you can call it "research!"
If you know about anything else, please tell us - and if you liked this, please let us know
Have fun!
