I lived in Bristol years ago - 95-99 - then ended up in London, for reasons of love and work... but now I'm coming back, with a DH, twin DS aged ten and little princess, oops I mean DD aged 4.... and no mum mates!

Our house is in the Chessels bit of Bedminster and I was amazed to see the change in North Street - would love advice on things I could join, like a book group, or a knitting club (not that I can knit!! but I'd like to try!!!)

Also I have no clue on things for kids locally, I didn't live in Brizzle when @Bristol was built and all the new developments along the docks. I have one DS obsessed with drama (anyone done Bristol Old Vic drama club?) and another who lives for football (ditto Ashton Gate U11 youth FC?) have any caffs opened up that mums congregate at and my DD could make new friends?

Any thoughts gratefully received!!

For drama groups check out The Tobacco factory which will be very local to you and runs classes on Saturday morning.
Have dd so don't know about football groups.
