Recommendations for builder / handyman?

We've recently had some building work done and have been left with some finishing off work that still needs doing plus some sub-standard work that needs fixing .

Having had our fingers burnt I'm keen to find our next builder through personal recommendations.

Do you know of anyone with carpentry / general building and decorating skills and a good eye for detail who you could recommend?

Hi put the jobs on ratedpeople.com they contact you and then you can check out there recommendations on line before seeing them. Worked for us every time.
