Hello there

We are thinking of a move into Brighton and have a budget of about 240k for a 3 bed house (2 children, 8 & 5). I think its probably going to be more important to sort out the schools then the accommodation - can anyone suggest where are the best secondary schools are and even more, good areas for us to look into?

Many thanks

Dorothy stringer is generally considered the best secondary in Brighton it falls in the same catchment as Varndean under the lottery system which tends to be peoples second choice as not so sought after. You should be looking round the fiveways area but you might struggle a bit with the house prices. If you are Catholic you may be better looking at Cardinal Newman catholic secondary you can live anyway in the city for that one! The best school in Hove is Blatchington Mill but which fall in the same catchment as Hove Park again not quite so popular but it is fast improving as has a new head.
The other comprehensives are really not to be recommended.........
