children's shoe shops

Anyone got any suggestions for specialist(ish) children's shoe shops? Was a devotee of the Red Shoes despite slightly random customer service. Not a big fan of Clarks - be great to hear where else people are going. Thank you!

Try Frocks Away in Muswell Hill - they have lovely shoes. I used to go to Red Shoes also, I prefer Frocks Away - service with a smile!

Thank you! Didn't go myself, but DH and DS1 went to Igloo in Islington - bit of a schlep, but came back with nice shoes and good service reported there also.

Have Red Shoes closed down?

Yes, Red Shoes has closed. Like people have said, I'll miss the shoes but not the sniffy service. Cubs in Hampstead is good (42 Heath Street). Despite the location, they have cheaper lines as well as expensive and are cheerful. They always seem knowledgeable and take time with fittings etc. We've also tried the Islington one and that's good too.

Second Frocks Away in Muswell Hill. Great service and great shoes - we've had two pairs of Bobux shoes now for the toddler.

One small step off Upper Street is excellent. Much more professional at fitting than Igloo, in my experience the girls in Igloo will sell you anything whereas at One Small Step they really spend ages getting you a good fit.
Also I'd second Cubs in Hampstead, though it's a schlep.
