Moving to Maidenhead - help appreciated!

Hi there,

I currently live in the midlands but my husband's job is moving and we are looking to move to Berkshire - Maidenhead is the most likely place.

We have 3 children and therefore I would really appreciate any advice on schools (Primary and Secondary) but also areas to avoid in and around Maidenhead.

I have literally no knowledge currently so any help would be very gratefully received.

I don't know the gender of your children, or whether you were looking for private or state education but I can recommend the Highfield preparatory girls school in Maidenhead. My daughters have been there and really benefitted from the school's ethos and love of learning. The Head and relatively new Deputy are excellent as are the teachers. It is fantastic value even with the recent price increases and has just been inspected so you have the most up to date assessment. Definitely worth a look. Good luck with the move!
