Moving to Exeter

I am moving to Exeter with a 3 year old and a baby that will just have been born!

I don't drive yet (trying to learn) so was wondering where is the best area to be a mum and a child in Exeter. Ideally not too far from a good pre-school so I can pick my daughter up easily but also a place that would have children centres within easy access so I don't go insane with the baby!
Thanks for your help and recommendations!
Lucie

Hi Lucie! Welcome to Exeter!

My DCs had a great time in St Thomas/Exwick (youngest went to Puffins nursery), but you can't really go wrong in Exeter. Some parts of Wonford have a very high crime rate, but then again they're cheap, and IME nowhere near as scary as areas elsewhere in the the UK.

You'll always be within 30 mins of the seaside, and within 10 mins of the countryside. The museum & arts centre are fantastic.

Good luck with your move, come and join a meet-up once you're here x
