Hi, does anyone know this street, Adelaide Street in Southbank? It's near the knavesmire but is a no through road. Would you buy a house here if you had two very young children?

What are thoughts on Southbank v Fulford v Bishopthorpe as a place to live?

Thanks in advance

Don't know that street. We looked at council flood maps quite a lot when buying recently.

Have you bought in the South Bank area?

Bishopthorpe is further out than the other two but town is easily reachable. There are excellent schools and playgroup and the village is in the catchment for two v good secondaries. There is lots going on for kids and a fair bit for adults to get stuck into as well.

We didn't buy there but for a multiplicity of reasons (inc flooding). Beautiful though! Think about how much you want to drive (hideous for commuting - all of York) and how much you want local, accessible by bike for foot stuff.

Might be looking somewhere totally different now. Bootham/Clifton Green area. Is it as nice as it seems?
