St. Mary's (East London Road) vs Sciennes

Hi ladies,

Sorry for yet another which school? thread. Looks like we will be moving to Edinburgh this summer. Just came back from there, such a beautiful city - quite excited about the whole thing. Anyway DH and I are debating. I think we should live in the Sciennes - Gillespies (secondary) catchment but he has his heart in the city centre which will be St Mary's - St Thomas. For various reasons, we want to buy before we move. Any opinions on these schools? We are not Catholic but don't have any issues with denominational schools.

Catholic schools v oversubscribed this year. Check if you need baptism certificates.

Thanks Moomish. St Mary's has space for us theoretically but can't offer us a space until we have an address. Very daunting ...
