Pre-school + Primary school advice

Hey,

I am moving to the area with my little girl and have been looking at new homes etc but just wanted some guidance from other mum's about where the best schools are. I know I can look at OFSTED etc but it would be good to get some actual opinions from real mums before I make any big decisions. All very daunting!! Any guidance would be much appreciated, I would prefer a school with a pre-school that feeds into it and an after school club as I work stupidly long hours!

Many thanks,

Emily

You first need to decide where you want to live and that will depend on your budget and transport to work etc.
None of the state nursery schools are an automatic feeder into the primary schools this is a separate application process.
If you are working I assume you need advice regarding private full day care nurseries rather than pre schools unless you have a nanny as well?
You really can't go wrong with any of the schools in Richmond borough most are good or outstanding. It also depends on if you will fulfill and of the church schools criteria as this means you can be more flexible on where you want to live as prices to live closest to the best outstanding community schools are very high.

Agree with Teddyking1, the borough is pretty huge! I could start wanging on about the schools in Teddington (all great) but if you're moving to Barnes it is a bit of a waste of time. If you narrow it down a bit I'm sure you'll get loads of advice. But yeah, you'd be hard pushed to find a bad school anywhere in the borough.
