Happy to indulge first time in a specialist place with gimmicks to distract DD from the hair cutting bit. ( am expecting her to hate having her hair cut!)
Am aware of trotters on kings or northcote road - but anywhere else local I can try ?
I think trotters do it sort of on the shop floor - might be stressful if DD howls..

We've been to Trotters on Northcote Rd with great success. The fishtank helps and even if DD does scream a) they're used to it and no-one takes any notice and b) they're fast! You could also try Happy Faces on Webb's Road (with TV screens and aeroplanes to sit in). Do please add a review to this website to let local Mumsnetters know how it went Smile.

We used to go to Sally's on Northcote road www.sallyscuts4kids.com/.

Her prices are reasonable. She has a choice of DVDs and a selection of toys.

Thanks for these - not quite got round to it yet - but will probably go with trotters this time.
