Baby Groups North Belfast/Newtownabbey

Hi ladies,

I have been rejected by my local Sure Start as my house is on the wrong side of a roundabout and I was wondering if anyone knows of any baby groups? My daughter is 5 weeks old and I'm looking to get out and meet new mums like myself. Any ideas?

My dd goes to two groups with her nana. The first is on a Wednesday morning at the Methodist church on the cavehill road. It starts at 10am and runs til 12. It's very friendly with babies and toddler's and is a pound. On Thursday morning there is one in St Peter's on the Antrim road (beside the landsdowne hotel). It also starts at 10am and runs til 11.30, also very nice group. My dd is now 18 mths and started at going at 6 weeks. Mums and grannies are all very nice at both.

Ask your health visitor for a list of local ones in your area.

When my first born was born a few years ago I asked my health visitor and she gave me a long list of mums and tots groups, the date and time they were on.
