Here's an interesting proposition for anyone with the right sort of house ... our daughter is getting married in Bowdon, Cheshire in July and as our family is scattered all over the place, we are looking for a really lovely house to gather in the days running up to and just after the wedding so we can have family time in a relaxed and homely environment.
We think probably 5 days - from a Wednesday to a Monday - would be enough, but we would need a minimum of 4 bedrooms to accommodate the 5 of us (all adults). We have looked at endless holiday rental sites but everyone does a Saturday changeover, which we can't do for obvious reasons!
In return we would offer you two weeks in our lovely cottage in South West France - even in school summer holidays if that's what you want - or two weeks in our Florida Gulf Coast apartment any time outside the Christmas to Easter period. These do not have to run concurrently with our time in Cheshire, as neither place is a primary residence.
