I am just starting up an informal Parenting Support Group where, for free, parents/mums can get advice, talk over any problems and generally support each other with day-to-day parenting.
Its a role many of us come to without any previous training and sometimes it can be challenging!
The idea is to meet very informally probably in a coffee shop and to swap parenting experiences during school hours.
It has worked well in other areas but not heard of any others locally before.
Often there will be no magic solution to any problems but usually just being more open with other Mums and hearing about other problems that you DON'T have will make you feel better.
The aim is to be totally informal and light hearted so after meeting up we all feel better about how we're doing looking after our children.
