If anyone is interested in a coffee and a chat or anything.

I'm 43, live in South Belfast, work for myself as an Online Media Specialist and have one son.

Ok, my life is changing due to dh leaving and I would be up for meeting new people...

I am 42, work full time and have 2 sons. I live in Dunmurry

Tee2072a · 15/11/2012 07:30

Sorry to hear about your DH leaving.

Thanks Tee2072a
trying to be philosophical about it. We lasted 15 years and I am hoping we will be able to be civil for the dc.

Sadly 1 of the things I have realised is that I spent all that time totally focused on my 'd'h and my dc and forgot about a separate life. So now is the time to meet new people, find new interests and be happy and busy Smile

TrudyWillCathyMay · 18/11/2012 10:00

MovinOn2012, sorry to hear that but with an attitude like yours, you sound like you will be just fine. I live in Ards but work in Belfast. I'm generally really busy with work, studying and my husband travels but I love meeting new people. And if you all have the same attitude as the people I like on MN, then I'll make the time Smile

Westeros · 18/11/2012 22:08

I could be up for coffee and a chat. And I'll definitely be in if there's cake.

I'm 36 and have one DD (4.5 months). Live in East Belfast and currently on maternity leave and often bored shitless

Tee2072a · 20/11/2012 15:26

Hey gang.

As your Local Editor ::bows:: I need to point out that Friendship bench is suppose to be for one to one meet ups.

However I would love to have a larger group meet up if anyone is interested in that?

Hi, I'm new to mums net, just joined today, just saying hi and if there's any meet ups I'd like to be involved? Thanks!

Ger123 · 28/01/2013 16:15

Hi Tee
Ive just joined this site and would love to meet up for a coffee and chat. I also live in South Belfast. Wednesdays are usually good for me? Ger123

Tee2072a · 29/01/2013 10:37

Hi Ger!

Well, I can't tomorrow (PILs coming down from Derry this weekend. House a pit...) but maybe next week?

My son is at preschool in the morning and has after school care in the afternoon on Wednesdays, so I have all day!

Ger123 · 29/01/2013 11:04

Hi Tee
I will have my little girl with me, and if your little boy was there also it would be nice for her to have someone to play with. So is there any day you want to bring your little guy. How is Thursday for you both? If not, then lets meet anyway for a coffee some Wednesday. Have fun this weekend!!

Ger

Tee2072a · 29/01/2013 11:11

Hi Ger

It would have to be in the afternoon, as my son is in preschool in the mornings.

If you want to do an afternoon it would have to be M, T or Th, as he goes to after school care on W and F.

Maybe next Thursday?

Ger123 · 31/01/2013 20:05

Hi Tee
Lots of stuff going on next week but the following Thursday would be good for us. How does that suit you?
Ger

Tee2072a · 01/02/2013 15:18

You mean the 14th? We could probably do that!

Let's liaise closer to the date. Oooh, hark at me. Grin

Tee2072a · 02/02/2013 09:51

Sorry, I'm wrong, we can't do the 14th, we have a thing after school.

Maybe the week after?

Ger123 · 04/02/2013 10:07

Hi Tee
Yeah possibly the 21st, can we check closer to the date. thanks

Hi Ger

If you're around, it's half term and my son and I are heading to the Ulster Museum on Tuesday, if you want to meet up?

We'll probably get there around 10 when they open and stay awhile!

Bumping this thread up in case anyone wants to meet individually if not able to make it to next Friday's group meet?

I am south belfast and with no reply as yet to Chuck Norris thread I would be really interested in anyone fancying a regular swim session in Belfast (boost member so wanting to get the most out of it!)

Tee2072a · 26/05/2013 21:44

Where, Sacre? I mean where would you swim, not where do you live!

I'm also in S Belfast, BTW.

OP posts:
SacreBlue · 26/05/2013 21:55

I like Grove, Avoniel was closer but it was closed for ages so switched allegiance! The boost membership is such a good deal (and it includes the boy if he ever takes the notion to start again) so I stick to city pools.

Tee2072a · 27/05/2013 08:27

We've been to a couple of birthday parties at Grove, it's very nice.

I thought maybe I was missing a nice one down here in the South side! Guess not.

OP posts:
SacreBlue · 27/05/2013 10:24

Nope :( none of the council venues in south have pools. My closest pool is 5mins away in PEC but a tad dearer than boost and I always felt a bit awkward with DS as it's mostly students/ex students so basically adults is what I'm saying An artist I work with met her DH there and thoroughly recommended it for that :)

Tee2072a · 27/05/2013 13:09

Oh god PEC costs a bloody fortune!

I can't actually afford to even get a boost right now, but I am hoping to soon.

I didn't realize none of the S B ones had pools.

I guess Andersontown does, but that's really W.

I know closest was avoneil and lovely if you ignore the racism/sexism of old men regulars of a morning but grove is naicer :)

I put off boost last year due to being too busy at work and not having enough money then Xmas, luncheon get togethers and eating out made a damn mockery of both very good excuses reasons :( I have no excuse not to renew now and every good reason to do so

TotallyLovesCake · 28/05/2013 13:34

Hi!

I can't go to meet-up on Fri :( But would like to meet up some other time on a 1-to-1 basis or as a group.

Basics: I am 28, have 3 yr old and 9 month old, SAHM 95% of time, live in North Belfast area.
