Picturehouse Cinema in Crouch End Town Hall

I heard a rumour about this a while ago. Anyone know if this is still happening? It wasn't due until 2014 I think, but it would be good to look forward to having a reasonably priced cinema within walking distance?

we've looked into this... apparently a number of options were considered for the town hall, including an art house cinema, but in the end the contract was given to the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

a spokesman for the Academy told us this:

' Regarding Hornsey Town Hall, we are currently fundraising to renovate and rebuild the Hall as a campus for Mountview. The building will be a full-time home for the school, with a new theatre, studio and workshop. There will also be spaces for our community and education programme. Shame about the cinema but it's good to know it will be some sort of community hub even if not a Picture House (sniff). Thanks for the info.
