Blind Safety

So sad to read about the tragic death of the toddler who got caught up in the cord from a window blind this week. Sadly it is not the first time and nor will it be the last.

Blind Cord Safety

? Keep cords out of the reach of children.
? Install blinds without a cord, particularly in a child?s bedroom.
? Do not place a child?s cot or highchair near a window.
? Pull-cord
s should be kept short and out of reach.
? Tie up the cords or use one of the many cleats, cord-tidies or clips available
? Don?t cut the cords. That can lead to one cord becoming longer, increasing the risk of entanglement, or can create a dangerous loop.

If you find your baby or child not breathing start CPR immediately and do not stop until the emergency services arrive.
