st albans mums?

I've recently moved to St. Albans (Fleetville) and would love to meet any other mums in the area. It feels a little lonely not knowning anyone.
I work during the week so miss out on meeting other mums at playgroups and the like (my mother watches my son during the day) and am a little too shy to just start talking to the groups of mums I see at the park.
My little boy is 3 and about to start Fleetville Infants
Is anyone is interested in coffee and a chat or play dates?

Looking at Stormont School in
Potters Bar ,for my daughter who was taken out of her school last year due to bullying . Any thoughts would be much appreciated . Also anyone know of independent schools in and around Hertfordshire that have excellent pastoral care , which at this moment more important than excellent academics . She would be in Year 4 so primary age
