meet up anyone?

Hi I've been around mn for ages and we have done meet ups many times in Bristol but I thought I would see if there was anyone new around who might like to meet for coffee during the day or a wine in the evening?

We have a fb group that we generally organise meet ups on do if you're interested post here and we'll get together :)

Ooh 'ello - I used to come to the meet-ups a few years ago but fell off the radar as DS became too hooliganesque for my café habit.

He's in preschool now so I might give it another try with not-hooliganesque-yet baby DS2.

I don't think I'm in the fb group anymore so please can I rejoin? Shall PM :)

Sounds good - with impeccable timing I joined the fb group just as I was finishing maternity leave and so have never got round to doing anything other than lurking Confused. But, now with a marginally better grip on life I'm def up for meeting - as long as small hooligans are also welcome Smile

I've been lurking around for a while (about 9 months of pregnancy) and am definitely interested in meet-ups!
I have joined the meetups pages on here but nothing seems to be happening yet. What areas are people in/can get to?
I'm in Brislington but do drive so can get to most places.
How do I find the FB group?

Your fellow Bristolian and Local Editor here. I'll be taking on the job of running this site, and promise to put all my energy or that which remains with a baby that never sleeps into making it, well as bloody brilliant as I know(with your help) it can be!

So happy that you are arranging a meet up Smile and on that subject; I'm still on the hunt for Local Ambassadors... These are people like yourselves who will be in charge of arranging a monthly meet up, pretty much what you are doing now but you will have your own page which will make it very simple, and as a thank-you Thanks you will have your very own LA card which will entitle you to a few discounts or freebies.

If you might be interested please let me know(and spread the word!)

We also have new Facebook and Twitter pages so please like/follow!

I am in Chew Magna, but often travel into Bristol. Where do you, and other mums meet? Would be fab to meet new peeps.

I am the Local Ambassador for Brislington but am having some trouble with the meet ups pages. While this is getting sorted shall we try to organise a Bristol-wide meet?

Does anyone know of any Mum and Baby friendly cafes that preferably has lots of parking/on a bus route for us all?

Also, what days do people prefer to meet?

I would prefer a Thursday or Friday lunchtime but can do other mornings...

Yes I'd love to do a Bristol meet up, there is a christmas meet up on the 8th down the water front. Can't remember all the details I will go and ask around.

I can't do lunch times I work part time and finish work half 1ish then school run at 3:15.

Maybe a saterday afternoon in softplay hell or a meal out on an evening? If it was summer we could of had a massive picnic in St Andrews/blaize/snuff mills.

I did have an idea that we could all do a bookclub and meet once a month for cake and what the new book will be?
