Possibly moving to area

Hi - Husband is up for a good job at Kintore, so may be moving with 3 year old and 11 year old to area. A bit gobsmacked by the prices of rental properties in the area, any suggestions on areas within a 30-45 minute commute of Kintore with decent schools and affordable housing? Any other tips for moving to the area?

Alford is further out. It has a good secondary and primary school.

Have a look at www.aspc.co.uk if you havent already. I think Kintore is near Inverurie, but have a look at Bucksburn as well, which is in Aberdeen. I think places like Keith, maybe Elgin will be cheaper and within your 30-45 minute limit (not sure though!)
