Staying near Beaminster - what to do?

We are renting a cottage for a week from Saturday near Beaminster. We have a 2.6 year old and a 5 year old. Any advice on where to go and eat etc would be really welcome. Thanks.

Lyme Regis is lovely and lots of little cafes around. Bridport is close to you and there is a nice italian/pizza type place which is family friendly. Will find out the name for you. Near Bridport there is a holiday park open to non residents which has a good swimming pool, think its called Freshwater. Dorchester is not too far and we have the dinosaur museum and Teddy Bear museum and more cafes than you can shake a stick at! Grin A new play cafe called Munchkins. Might be good if the weather is lousy.
